It is a high mountain route that from the station of Arinsal reaches the highest peak in Andorra, the 2942m Comapedrosa Peak. Departure and arrival are located in Arinsal at the Igloo Bar at 2300m, at the same place as the arrival of the vertical that is disputed the next day.
From the Iglu Bar you climb to the Portella de Sanfons going through the Vell port, here begins the first descent until you reach Comapedrosa beach at 2200. From the beach there is the second climb to the Peak of the Comapedrosa. From the top, the Ruf’s shovel is lowered, visible from many points of the Massana until another cup is reached on the Comapedrosa plain.
From the granddaughter the Men’s seniors first go to the Portella de Sanfons and then to the Pico de Port de Vell going through the Pond of the Truites, while the other categories from the Pleta go straight to the Pico de Puerto Viejo. Hence the last descent takes the runners to Arinsal for the last change and face the short climb to the finish line.
